                   A Celebration of Simon & Garfunkel  7.30pm

PERFORMED LIVE BY TIM CHU & IAN BAILEY

Tim Chu and Ian Bailey perform A Celebration of Simon & Garfunkel the UK’s leading non tribute show currently dazzling live music lovers throughout the UK whilst supporting the arts in rural communities.

Tim Chu has been a professional session musician for many years and his music features in TV, Film and Radio. He has loved the music of Paul Simon from a young age as the original LPs were constantly on his parents' record player! Tim had the vision to put together an ambient show to take to real music lovers around the UK and enrolled the help of Lancashire born Ian Bailey to complete the duo. Ian has been a singer songwriter for many years with 3 critically acclaimed solo albums of his own material to date.Together they blend in their own unique way without falling into the tribute act category. There will be no make-up, wigs or costumes - just two great musicians performing some of Simon & Garfunkel’s classic songs in an intimate and relaxed way.

“Everyone loves the music of Simon & Garfunkel and for me no one has recreated it better than Tim and Ian, the concert simply blew me away"  Phil Cool, TV comedian, impressionist and musician...

“What a fantastic show with two great guys, two voices and two guitars delivering the best acoustic interpretations of Simon’s classic songs” Sally Naden, BBC Radio.

Badapple Theatre's new comedy - Salsa Verde 7.30pm

Another of our popular Live & Local Shows. This show follows two different generations of characters where a romantic love-triangle seems destined to be repeated down the years. A wartime Bevan Boy and a navy recruit clash at the dance hall, as do another thoroughly modern duo fighting over the instructor at the local village hall Salsa night.
Artistic Director and playwright Kate Bramley notes, “As Badapple’s 20-year anniversary of touring
approaches, I wanted to capture the imagination of younger, non-traditional theatregoers. Hopefully the prospect of top-quality dancing, music and comedy all on your doorstep will appeal to anyone of any age who is up for a great local night out.”
Salsa Verde stars Jack Alexander (from Badapple’s hit show Eddie and The Gold Tops), alongside actor/dancers Hadley Smith and Alexandra Daszewski with design by Catherine Dawn and original songs and music by SONY award-winning singer songwriter Jez Lowe, BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards nominee.
